Piano Lessons for Adults

Want some recreation and fun?
Starting a band?
Need to learn how to read music, play and minipulate chords?

Whatever your purpose and regardless of age, piano lessons are a fulfilling and rewarding recreation that can be enjoyed by anyone.

How long will it take?

It will take about 5-10 minutes to learn to read music and the fundamentals of the notation system.

You will be playing songs at the first lesson.

Students who practice 3-5 days for 30-60 minutes, have given recitals of 5-8 songs in just 6 months (That's only 24 hours of instruction).

What will I learn?

I will help you learn to read and play the music you like while teaching you how to comfortably and easily build solid piano skills. Ultimately, I help you discover and develop your own musical potential.

Here is a picture of adult piano student, Sue Conning. Sue has studied with me since October 2006. She gave her first solo recital performance in her home after only 2 months of piano lessons. She recently performed solo and duet repertoire at our Halloween 2007 Studio Concert.

In this photo, Sue is working on a left hand section that requires some extra attention.

Here is what Sue has to say about piano lessons at Yungling Piano Studio:

"I have been a piano student since October 2006 and I love having Louis as a teacher. I came to my first lesson already having several years of experience with other musical instruments but only a basic familiarity with the piano. Louis carefully assessed my abilities and constructed a program that would challenge me without trying to push me along too quickly. He has always been interested in helping me to play the genres of music that I prefer. He has encouraged me to set goals and has helped me to achieve them. I feel that I have grown not only as a pianist, but as a person. I am more dedicated and patient with myself and I haven’t set limits on what my skill level will be in the future."
