The things we do have a sacred nature. Many of our efforts require financial resources, physical materials, equipment and sometimes extra (rented) space. However, the most basic ingredients of what we do are thought, action and time. And while we can think and act almost endlessly, none of us has an endless amount of time.
The allotment of time we dedicate to our efforts can never be recaptured. Therefore, the time we spend creating, dreaming, designing, imagining, building, studying and practicing is sacred.
Being aware of this we can create a simple practice: we can pause before any activity and say “thank you” and when we are finished, we can once again say, “thank you.”
